On a beautiful Thursday evening, 2 July 2009, members of the Muskham Vale Heritage Group supported by a goodly number of Bathley residents met at the Crown Inn, Bathley for a conducted walk around the village led by Trevor Frecknall.

 

At key locations during the tour, Trevor gave participants the benefit of his current research into the village’s history, setting the various lanes, roads and adjacent dwellings into their historical context.

 

An enjoyable and informative evening was had by all.
